The first time I tried beef tongue, it was the star of the taco.  Whether you are cooking traditional tacos or burritos, or are adventurous enough to try it sliced like pot roast, you won't be disappointed.
 
What does Beef Tongue Taste Like? It tastes like any other cut of beef, but has a melt in your mouth, soft texture!  It's similiar to pot roast.  Cooking in a crock pot over a few hours ensures you'll have an amazingly tender cut of meat. 
 
It is surprisingly easy to cook.  Just rinse, throw it in a crockpot with onion, bay leaves, and garlic, and cook with water covering the tongue for 3-4 hours.  Afterwards, peel the skin from the tongue and enjoy!
