Although pulled pork comes to many people's minds with these roasts, our favorite way to enjoy them is sliced into 1" pieces, breaded, and fried in our pastured pork lard.
These shoulder roasts are versatile and will produce a great dinner no matter how you decide to cook it. Each roast is approximately 3.6 lbs, and will feed 6-8 people.
Pork Shoulder Roast
Pork shoulder is the base for great carnitas, pulled pork, or a sliced oven roast. It is a versatile cut that can be cooked in a smoker, crock pot, sous vide, or in the oven. Whichever method you choose, you won't be disappointed.
For a 3 pound sliced pork roast, brown in a cast iron skillet, season as desired, then move to the oven at 250°F and continue to cook for 3-4 hours until the middle of the roast registers 165°F.
